The full program charge for Contemporary Cambodia is $3,775.

The charge includes

  • Tuition for the course (two credits at $1,520 per credit): $3,040
  • A nonrefundable deposit covering housing and in-country travel: $735

  • Round-trip airfare to Cambodia

Off-Campus Opportunities Fund (OCOF)

The Off- Campus Opportunities Fund (OCOF) is a common application for students seeking financial support for off-campus experiences. OCOF is predominantly for short-term programs when financial aid is less available.

Southeast Asia Program Engaged Travel Grant

Students may apply to the Southeast Asia Program (SEAP) for up to $1,000 for international study or research, as part of a class or independently. Only students who have taken at least one semester of a Southeast Asian Language and/or a Southeast Asian Studies area course (as listed on the SEAP website) are eligible to apply.

Cornell SCE Scholarship

The School of Continuing Education offers one $550 scholarship to eligible students to help offset tuition. For more information and to apply, contact cusp@cornell.edu. Scholarship applications must be received by November 18, 2019.

Payment deadlines

  • Nonrefundable deposit of $735: Due by November 1, 2019
  • Full payment of remaining $3,040: Due by December 6, 2019

You may lose your place if you do not meet your payment deadline.

Can I get a refund if I withdraw from my program?

To withdraw from this special program, you must notify the SCE registrar's office in writing. Your refund amount will be determined by the number of days from the start of the program that you withdraw.

Course fees are nonrefundable. Further, if you withdraw without officially notifying the Cornell SCE registrar’s office in writing, you will not receive a refund. No refund will be given to any student dismissed from a program.

Refund schedule (based on program start date)

  • Days 1–3: Withdrawal period with a 100 percent tuition refund
  • Days 4–5: Withdrawal period with a 50 percent tuition refund
  • Day 6: Withdrawal period with no refund

If you want to appeal the refund schedule based on extenuating circumstances, download the petition form (PDF), complete it, and submit it by email to the SCE review committee at cusce@cornell.edu. Please include "Refund petition" in the subject line of your email. The form will be reviewed by committee, and you will be notified if your appeal is approved.
