Course description

This course provides opportunities for students to build on foundational quantitative skills necessary for success in the physical and life sciences. It provides instruction and practice with foundational quantitative skills such as dimensional analysis, fractions and percentages, scientific notation, logarithms, non-complex functions, algebra concepts, and graphical representation and interpretation. Examples and problems are embedded within the framework of STEM at Cornell including biology, calculus, physics, and statistics, with a special emphasis on introductory chemistry (atomic structure, periodic trends, gas laws, stoichiometry, pH, units, measurement).

Restricted to students in the Pre-Collegiate Summer Scholars Program.
