Explore Cuba's history, politics & culture firsthand

Experience the vitality of arts and culture in three World Heritage cities in Cuba, from the plazas of old Havana, to the French neoclassical façades of Cienfuegos, to the colorful streets of Trinidad.

In this study abroad program, you’ll explore Cuban history from colonial contact to post-revolution, meet Cuban artists and architects, attend music and dance performances, and create a photo essay exploring Cuban-American issues.

You'll immerse yourself in the history and traditions of Cuba with a two-credit course and a one-credit seminar taught in English by Cornell faculty. You'll also attend lectures by Cuban locals and enjoy cultural excursions in and around Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, and Santa Clara.
