College students

Your full program charge will be based upon how many credits you take.

  • Tuition for one three-credit class (three credits at $1,620 per credit): $4,860
  • Tuition for two three-credit classes (six credits at $1,620 per credit): $9,720

If you elect to take ARCH 1110: Introduction to Architecture: Design Studio, you'll also need to purchase a design tool kit (at a cost of approximately $300) and additional art supplies as required along the way.

Textbook purchases, housing, and meals are not included in the program charge.

Online design studios

The full program charge for a six-credit design studio class is $9,720.

Health requirements for visiting students

Visiting students taking six or more credits in on-campus summer classes are required to pay either the summer student health fee or enroll in Cornell’s Student Health Plan (SHP). For information, see the health services page.

Payment deadline

To hold your place in the program, you must submit your full payment when you enroll. You may lose your place if you do not meet your payment deadline.

Can I get a refund if I withdraw from my program?

To withdraw from this special program, you must notify the SCE registrar's office in writing. Your refund amount will be determined by the number of days from the start of the program that you withdraw.

Course fees are nonrefundable. Further, if you withdraw without officially notifying the Cornell SCE registrar’s office in writing, you will not receive a refund. No refund will be given to any student dismissed from a program.

Refund schedule (based on program start date)

  • Days 1–3: Withdrawal period with a 100 percent tuition refund
  • Days 4–5: Withdrawal period with a 50 percent tuition refund
  • Day 6: Withdrawal period with no refund

If you want to appeal the refund schedule based on extenuating circumstances, download the petition form (PDF), complete it, and submit it by email to the SCE review committee at cusce@cornell.edu. Please include "Refund petition" in the subject line of your email. The form will be reviewed by committee, and you will be notified if your appeal is approved.
