To receive credit, you must stay until your last exam or project has been submitted. Finals cannot be moved, so make sure to arrange travel plans around your exam schedule.

You'll need to be packed and ready to move out by the evening before the latest check-out date and time for your program.

For questions, email cornellprecollege@summerdiscovery.com or call (607) 793-9877 before noon on Saturday, August 2. Note: This email and phone line will be active until Sunday, August 3.

Check-out steps

All students must complete the following steps before leaving campus:

  1. Complete a final inspection of your dorm room with a residential counselor.
  2. Leave the BAND app. An RC will provide instructions.
  3. Go to the lobby of your residence hall to return keys and sign out with an RC.
  4. Retrieve any medical supplies from the Wellness Center in JAM.

Pick-up locations

If your parent/guardian is picking you up

Due to limited loading space at the dorms, your parent/guardian is required to park in A-Lot upon arrival on campus. After you've completed steps 1 to 4 above, you may call your parent/guardian to let them know they can proceed to your designated pick-up area to collect you and your luggage.

Please remember that no parents or guardians are allowed in the dorm buildings. Our RCs will be on hand to help move your belongings to the pick-up area.

If you're leaving by taxi or car service

After you've completed steps 1 to 4 above, please call your driver and ask them to meet you at Robert Purcell Community Center.

Leaving outside of formal check-out hours?

If you need to leave campus outside of the formal check-out hours listed below, you or your parent/guardian must complete this form outlining your return-home travel plans. We'll contact you to confirm your information and provide you with instructions for how to complete steps 1 through 4 above.
