Opening Day Schedules
Here's a general schedule for your first day at Cornell!
Some helpful links as you navigate campus:
- A-Lot parking
- Bailey Hall (Convocation)
- Accessible transportation and parking
- Visitor parking (Most parking on campus is free on Sundays, but be sure to check signs)
We highly recommend that students, parents, and guardians attend the 2:00 p.m. Convocation in Bailey Hall. If your parents or guardians are not able to make it to Cornell, they can watch the live stream.

Move in
Follow signs to A-Lot parking and then proceed to Robert Purcell Community Center (RPCC). They'll also meet with nurse Jada Torney to review health forms and drop off all over-the-counter and/or prescription medication. From there, they'll proceed to their residence hall to move in.
NOTE: Only Precollege students will be allowed in residence halls. Parents and guardians are invited to enjoy refreshments at the welcome tent (weather permitting) during this time.
