If you're a high school student who's able to commute to campus, you may request approval to take a regular Cornell course on the Ithaca campus during the fall, spring, or summer.

This is an unparalleled opportunity to study a new subject with Cornell faculty, challenge yourself with a college-level class, enhance your college application, and earn college credits, all while living at home.

The grades and credits you earn will be recorded on an official Cornell transcript and are generally transferable toward a degree at Cornell or elsewhere.

You may request permission to enroll in courses at the 1,000 or 2,000 level as long as you meet the prerequisites listed. (Precollege students are not eligible for courses at the 3,000 level or above.)

Note: All summer 2024 courses for local precollege students are six-week courses, which run June 24–August 6.
