Greta Garrison, a senior at Charles O. Dickerson High School in Trumansburg, NY, received an Atkinson Scholarship for Cornell’s Precollege Summer Program last year. She chose to take International Human Rights in Theory and Practice with Elizabeth Brundige, clinical professor of law and the director of the Cornell Gender Justice Clinic. Greta says the course contributed to subsequent human rights engagement at her high school and to volunteering as a research assistant for Professor Brundige’s Gender Justice Clinic. Greta was recently accepted to Yale, where she plans to continue pursuing human rights studies. In this video, Greta and Professor Brundige discuss what it's like to take the course and how it shaped Greta's academic trajectory.
