The program is authorized to issue a Form I-20 (Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant [F-1] Student Status).

For information about how to request an I-20 form, go to Step 4 on the Summer Session International Student page.

Application prior to April 26 is recommended to allow time for visa processing.

Students are expected to be present on the first day of the program. If you have exceptional reasons for arriving late, please ask permission of the academic director.

International student check-in

Upon arriving at Cornell, international students must check in online with the Office of Global Learning International Services (IS).

International student advisors are available during IS office hours in 300 Caldwell Hall to answer questions on topics such as immigration, working in the U.S., obtaining a social security number, and getting a driver's license.
