Getting to Cornell
Cornell's main campus is located in Ithaca, New York, approximately 200 miles northwest of New York City.
Planning on attending summer on-campus classes? Learn more about Ithaca. Also, if you and/or your parents or guardians will be staying in Ithaca before, during, or after your program, we encourage you to make reservations as soon as possible. By car
Please note that summer residential students may not bring cars to the program. You and/or your parents are responsible for making your travel arrangements to and from Cornell.

Once you’re on campus, signs will direct you to the North Campus residence halls. Precollege staff members will be at driveway entrances to assist with details and directions.
By air
The Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is a 10-minute drive from campus. Taxis are available at the Ithaca airport to bring students to campus. Drop off for summer students is on North Campus at Robert Purcell Community Center.
Syracuse Hancock International Airport is about an hour from campus. Auburn Transportation Group offers services and bus options for groups.
By bus
The bus terminal, on Green Street in downtown Ithaca, is served by Coach USA Shortline , FlixBus, Greyhound, and OurBus. Coach USA Shortline will pick up and drop off on campus and the downtown terminal.
Taxis and local TCAT buses are available to bring you up to campus from the downtown terminal. Drop off for summer students is on North Campus at Robert Purcell Community Center.
