Activities & Community Resources

As a summer residential student at Cornell, you'll not only work hard, but you'll have a chance to play hard, too.
We’ll have extracurricular activities and/or excursions planned for you every afternoon, evening, and all weekend long, including events such as
- Ice cream socials, barbecues, and lawn games
- Trivia night, a color war, a trashion show, and the ever-popular Precollege talent show
- Outdoor concerts on the Cornell Ag Quad and a silent disco
- Outings to the famous art, birds, brains, and other collections at Cornell, which include the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, the world-class Lab of Ornithology, and the fabled Brain Collection at Uris Hall.
- A visit to the Cornell Botanic Gardens, 4,000 magnificent acres of rose gardens, lovely woodland trails, waterfalls, gorges, and ponds.
- Field trips to Ithaca Farmers Market and "gorgeous" area parks
- A games club, a sports club, and an arts and crafts club
- Movies (with popcorn, of course)
- A college roundtable and admissions workshops
- Hiking, bowling, mini golf, and swimming
- And of lots of opportunities to enjoy ice cream at the Cornell Dairy Bar.
