What is CAU?
Cornell’s Adult University (CAU) offers trips to spectacular destinations around the world, as well as inspiring courses on the Cornell campus, all taught by engaging Cornell faculty and open to all.
Whether vacationing on the beautiful Cornell campus, cruising down the Nile, or relaxing in a five-star hotel in Italy, your program will be enhanced by our expert leaders and the company of friendly CAU travelers.
Along the way, you'll enjoy comfortable accommodations and delicious meals, with all of the program details taken care of by a dedicated CAU host.
Trips around the world led by Cornell faculty
The world is your classroom on a CAU trip. Cornell faculty not only develop each education vacation, they also guide, lecture, and share their expertise with you every step of the way. Imagine snorkeling in the Galapagos with a leading naturalist, marveling at the Taj Mahal with an expert in Indian history, or exploring Iceland with an Ivy League geologist. You’ll never see the world the same way again.
On-campus summer courses for adults
Enjoy the beauty of the Finger Lakes region of New York as you take a weeklong class at Cornell in subjects ranging from art, science, and current affairs, to cooking, birding, and sailing. CAU’s “summer camp for grown ups” will inspire you to look beyond the bounds of your current life and work. After class, you can relax in the company of new friends and explore all Cornell has to offer.
