Course description

This course in Biostatistics uses the R programming language as a platform for analysis. Students will be introduced to different types of statistical analysis while becoming comfortable writing basic code in the R programming language. Topics will include: descriptive statistics, inference, experimental design and hypothesis testing; assumptions behind statistical models and choice of statistical tests; analysis of variance and covariance; general linear models and interactions; regression; and parametric and non-parametric tests, bootstrapping, and permutation testing.
